September 5th is Teacher's day in India, the birth anniversary of Dr. S. Radhakrishan. A very eminent teacher and India's second President.

A few years back, on this day, while I was surfing TV, there was a talk show on a channel on Teachers. That group was trying to understand what makes a good teacher.

One of the speakers said that a good teacher helps the child Learn to Learn. This teaching will last all life. It took me a while to understand the meaning of "Learn to Learn," once understood, I too agreed with the speaker that it is a good attribute of a teacher. But my question is how to make the child Learn to Learn. What are the techniques?

I am sure there must be several of them & there is no single formula for success. Alas, it was not an interactive TV I was watching, else I would have posed this question to the speaker.
