I was once on a business trip to Seoul & on one of the evenings; I visited a museum dedicated to King Sejong & Admiral Yi Sunshin.
Both are highly regarded in the country as they bravely fought & won a war against the Japanese in 1597.

The museum showcases various artefacts and look-alike models of the weapons used.
What caught my eye was the address of Admiral Yi Sunshin to his naval troops before the start of the war.
”If you are prepared to fight to the death, you will live. If you avoid battles to preserve your life, you will die.”

This speech before the start of the war is very inspirational & when delivered by the leader, it sends out a ripple effect of positive energy across the team.

Great leaders are known to inspire their team to do better than their best with their speech before the start of any critical initiative.
